Discontinued & Sold Out Giveaway

We’ve now begun packing to move, and I’ve come across all sorts of discontinued and sold out Nut and Bee items tucked into corners, so I figured the most fun thing to do with them would be a giveaway!

This time there are two prize packages. Each one contains:

  • FIVE assorted 4×4″ prints, signed with my maiden name

  • FIVE assorted magnets
  • THREE assorted paper stationery items

To enter, just leave a comment on this post and tell us which animal you would most like to observe in the wild. For me, I think it would be the sloth!

I will do two random drawings from all valid entries at noon on Friday 10th July (New Zealand time).

N.B. You must leave your comment on the post at www.nutandbee.com, not any syndicated feed services that provide their own comment features. Also, don’t worry if your comment doesn’t appear immediately! First-time comments are held for moderation (to avoid spam), but I will make sure everything has been approved before I do the drawing. Finally, please make sure you enter a valid email address so I can contact you.

  1. For me….hmmm. I think lemurs!! Especially sifaka lemurs! *boing boing*

  2.
  3. Deep down, I want to see a unicorn… but more realistically – elephants. Elephants amaze me!

  4.
  5. HOLY MOLY! This is so exciting.
Seeing the narwhal or a golden mole would undoubtedly be the most incredible thing ever. Observe the golden mole: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v733/avalyn1/goldenmole.jpg :D
    Ps. Sloths are AWESOME!

  6.
  7. I think seeing a chinchilla would be great, they are so grumpy looking!

  8.
  9. It would have to be a cat. You said “in the wild” and to me, once a cat leaves its home, who knows what it gets upto!?! Is it a masked super hero saving the day? Is it stealing someone’s socks? Or just sleeping in the sun :)

  10.
  11. I would love to go to the Galapagos Islands and see all the incredible wildlife there – particularly those crazy old tortoises…

  12.
  13. I would love to see a jerboa!

  14.
  15. Pandas! But only baby ones. The big ones are just bears I think, therefore scary. Thanks for the giveaway!
    Jemma

  16.
  17. An okapi, for sure! But I’d also be almost as excited to see a moose.

  18.
  19. Naked mole rats! Lots of them! I mean, aside from the fact that I’d have to be underground at the mercy of their nasty sharp teeth. o_O

  20.
  21. oh…i think tiger cubs, playing in the snow in asia.

  22.
  23. Giraffes! This request isn’t necessarily for me, of course, but the small one who proudly proclaims “zebras are my favorite animal” and… if I go, she goes.

Of course, when she says zebra, she means giraffe; I’ve never been able to figure out how those are the two animals she actually confuses…

  24.
  25. I’d LOVE to hang out with sloths! And i really want to check out dugongs in the wild, they’re so cute!

  26.
  27. Ooohh … this is a tough question!! All of them???

Polar Bears! Babies are just so cute!

  28.
  29. I had to think about this for a little while, but I would love to see orangutans in the wild. I would find it fascinating to see their social interactions.

Being David Attenborough would be the best thing ever…

  30.
  31. Oh my gravy, here I was all excited to shout NAKED MOLE RATS!!! but someone already beat me to it. Clearly your blog readers are top-notch.

  32.
  33. Noooo! You stole my sloth answer!
(Yes, ‘sloth’ popped into my head as soon as I read the question and before I read the next sentence XD)

  34.
  35. Oh, hard. But after several minutes of delightful animal thoughts… I am going with elephants. Enormous, rough, smuffly, elephants. Clomp clomp whuffle!

  36.
  37. The sea otter. They must be the cutest animals ever to exist, and they hold hands! <3

  38.
  39. emperor penguins but they have to have chicks with them. probably the cutest thing on earth.

  40.
  41. Oh man, so many hard decisions! I’m going to have to say the pandacorn because of the rollerskates and pooping rainbows though!

  42.
  43. Hmmm … the animal I would most like to observe in the wild is the red panda. The Houston Zoo calls it the cutest animal in the world and I’m likely to agree.

  44.
  45. Definitely a penguin, because I’ve always wanted to go to Antarctica. (Also, I like penguins!)

  46.
  47. I would love to see the leopard in the wild. Leopards are my favorite wild animal, I think I would have a leopard patronum. :) I’d want to observe them so that I can see what REAL leopard print looks like, and see if it looks anything like all those prints I baught at joanns. :)

  48.
  49. I would love to swim with a sea turtle, or I would also settle for manatee.

  50.
  51. Fennec foxes! I love their giant ears.

  52.
  53. I’d have to say the cheetah. They are fascinating, and I want to know how they run so fasssssssst

  54.
  55. Hmmm, very tough question!! Methinks a kangaroo! They are so strong and jumpy, plus they have the cute little pouch!!

  56.
  57. Love reading the comments! I’d have to go with the Giant Squid

  58.
  59. Deer! Simple, sweet & calm.

  60.
  61. I would love to see hedgehogs. They’re just so cute and fearful.
    :]

  62.
  63. Lemurs, though I don’t know if I could contain my joy.

  64.
  65. Would dinosaurs be a valid answer? If not then tigers because I love the way they move, all slinky and killerish.

  66.
  67. Tigers, for sure. Stealthy :D

  68.
  69. A MOLE!

Also, a silky anteater (which has the best defense posture ever) and a blue whale.

  70.
  71. I think I should like to see a wild guinea pig in South America :)

  72.
  73. Epp, great prizes!
Id have to choose a snork. Do cartoon creatures count?!

  74.
  75. Tigers, of course :)

  76.
  77. I dream of swimming with pymgy hippos! Or hanging out with the lesser-spotted Bunnylump…

  78.
  79. Flamingo’s, a huge flock of pink flamingo’s!

  80.
  81. I would have to say any of those large cats – tigers, lions, leopards, panthers, jaguars, cheetahs, etc. They’re all such amazing creatures! But I definitely can’t pick amongst them!!

  82.
  83. I get excited when I see any animal in the wild, haha. Heck, pigeons excite me!

But if I had to pick just one, I’d have to say… an ocelot! They’re so cool…

  84.
  85. I would like to observe an aardvark in the wild – always being outwitted by those pesky ants.

  86.
  87. I’d love to come across a wild hedgehog. One of my co-workers saw several on her recent trip to Wales and I was so jealous!

  88.
  89. Either giraffes or penguins. I guess it depends if I want to be cold or warm…

  90.
  91. Thanks for the giveaway! I love your site btw. I visit it all the time for inspiration! :D

I would have to say an okapi. The fact that they’re so shy would make seeing one in the wild extra amazing. Plus they’re adorable with their little zebra legs and giraffe faces. *snuggle*

  92.
  93. Wild boar, kind of like pumba, because they seem tempramental and unusual

  94.
  95. i have only gotten to see them at the Zoo in Cleveland but I would love to see an Anteater in it’s natural habitat. It’s the most active Zoo critter I’ve seen yet and it still looks very chill and playful. My little guy has a ball he pushes around with his nose, it’s precious! And he’s big!

  96.
  97. I’d like to see Bigfoot or a Yeti! :-)

  98.
  99. I’m with you with the Sloths hence the photo I use in message boards goto http://www.slothrescue its the one of the sloth sitting in a pile of flowers http://www.slothrescue.org/Gallery/

    Have you seen http://www.slothrescue.org/Facilities/

Yes you can breckfast with baby sloths.

  100.
  101. Hm, I think it would be fun to observe panda bears outside of a zoo. They’re so adorable!

  102.
  103. I’d like to go to South America when the monarch butterflies are “nesting” there. To see butterflies coating everything and all of the wonderful flora would be amazing!

  104.

  107. I would like to see a whale – a humpback!

  108.
  109. WHAAAAALES!!! <333

  110.
  111. I think I would most like to observe cuttlefish. They’re such incredible, smart, and social critters. And adorable!

  112.
  113. A viscacha. They look so fat and wise…but then I favor rodents.
    http://hearthandsalamander.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/viscacha.jpg

  114.
  115. Spider monkey!!

  116.
  117. Gorrila’s of course :D

  118.
  119. Polarbears! Even though I don’t really like the cold I’m pretty much obsessed with them!

  120.
  121. Another Red Panda fan here – i’d love to see some in the wild :)

  122.
  123. I would most definitely like to observe a meerkat in the wild. I have only ever seen them in person at the zoo!

  124.
  125. I want to observe wombats in the wild. They’re so cute!!!!

  126.
  127. I would love to see degus in the wild. My degus are so hilarious at home in their cage, and I’d love to see them climbing in trees and hanging out with wild degu friends, burrowing, and exploring the real world. My place is better than the animal shelter where I found them, but it would be amazing to see what they’d do back in their natural habitat.

  128.
  129. I would love to see a penguin in the wild. Good luck with your move! This is so exciting!

  130.
  131. Omigod meerkats. Definitely meerkats.

  132.
  133. A hippopotamus in all its chubby submerged glory! Albeit not too close, I don’t want to make it mad since I hear they’re cranky.

  134.
  135. i would love to see an okapi in the wild, they are just so neat!

  136.
  137. A koala bear. yup, definitely a koala. maybe two at once? that would be something.

  138.
  139. I would love, love, love to see a secretary bird

  140.
  141. I’d like to see a squid… I’d like to >be< a squid…

  142.
  143. I would love to see Visayan warty pigs munching around in the wild; we have two (including a little baby) at our zoo, and they’re so sweet when they cuddle, with their crazy mohawks and funky teeth. :-)

  144.
  145. a pygmy marmoset! Inspired by the picture in the paper today.

  146.
  147. I would like to see a baby orangatang:)

  148.
  149. I have a soft spot for all black-and-white animals, like pandas or penguins but my favourite to watch in the wild would be orcas.
Or see a gang of juvenile keas take apart a car in the NZ mountains, haha :-D

  150.
  151. Definitely the manta ray!!

  152.
  153. I would love to study wild horses (equine and such)
probably in africa or somewhere similar (:

  154.
  155. I’d like to see a Japanese Macaque making a couple of snowballs!

  156.
  157. I think snorkeling/diving into a coral reef and seeing all the diverse fishes and corals would be most exciting for me.

  158.
  159. There is nothing more exciting than seeing animals (especially exotic ones) in the wild. I always wanted to kayak with the orcas in an Alaskan bay.

  160.
  161. A great question to ask and a lot of diverse answers too!
I’d have to say that seeing seahorses would probably be the most exciting for me.
If I could be in the water diving and seeing them up close and personal, that would make it that much better!!
