New Buttons/Magnets

Eggplant! Cheese! Hot Dogs! Buses and Trains!

I’ve just added five new buttons and magnets to the site, three food buddies and two to show your public transport pride.

(Buttons are SO hard to photograph, the colours are full and smooth in real life. I must work out how to do a better job of capturing them!)

New! Guinea Pig A-Go-Go Stickers

Guinea Pig A-Go-Go Stickers

The Guinea Pig A-Go-Go sticker set features six guinea pig designs to stick about the place.

These little guys may be familiar to long-time Nut and Bee fans – of all the designs I’ve discontinued, I think they are the most requested for a reprint :)

The Green Apple T-Shirt Poll

One of my awesome stockists, The Green Apple, is considering licensing one of my designs to produce as a t-shirt.

They’ve narrowed their choice down to this shortlist of four options, and have asked me to run a little poll to see which would be most popular. Please take a moment to vote and let us know which design would be of most interest to you!

August Update

August is upon us, and here are some new designs! There are lettersets, mini notes and buttons/magnets for you to peruse.

One letterset features the recent Dust Bunnies design. I am very fond of these little fellows! They were inspired by an enormous dust bunny I found under our bed – should I admit that?! The other letterset is a new meteorological design, On Cloud Nine, with some of the cheeriest little weather symbols you’ll come across.

There are also buttons and magnets to match these two letterset designs.

The new mini notes feature my recent Sweet Sweet Pea illustration in an expanded format, with more happy peas and some lovely loopy caterpillars as well, and the classic Bear and Salmon drawing. These ones were especially designed for saying thank you when you’re as happy as a bear with a fish!

Don’t forget, member of the mailing list receive an exclusive special offer every month (sign up over to the left!) and if you become a facebook fan before August 10th you’ll be in the draw for some Nut and Bee vouchers :)

Print Signing (Again)

Okay, lovelies! After several more comments and a couple of emails all in favour of signing prints it seems that I’m the only person distracted by my signature – so I’ll stick with it :)

New 8×10 Prints

As a little precursor to the main August update (which will be happening next week!) I’ve just added a category of 8×10″ prints to the site with my newer, larger illustrations. There’s just a few designs right now, but of course many more will be coming along in future…

They’re designed to fit directly into an 8×10″ frame, or a larger size with a mat. I framed some examples in 8×10″ and 10×12″ frames and I think they both look great! I’ve decided to go ahead with not signing these, but I’m always happy to add a signature if requested at checkout :)

Print Signing

I have decided I would like to stop signing my prints, but before I make the change are there any strong opinions for or against?

My reasoning is primarily that with my simple, flat-colour illustration style I think the signature detracts from the composition, and since I will still be including attribution information on the reverse of each print no data will be lost.

I’m also about to launch some 8×10 prints which would have to be signed within the image area itself (unlike the current 4×4 prints which I sign in the border, so that the signature can be ‘framed over’ with a mat if desired).

Please chime in if you have any thoughts!

June Update

It’s the June update, a few days early :)

I love these new little mini notes, I’ve been packaging them up this week and they’re so cute! They use the same 100gsm satin paper as the notepads too, which is really nice to write on.

This new batch of buttons/magnets includes the often-requested owl, elephant and bee – plus a few other things that have spilled into my sketchbook recently.
