What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, which are processed securely by Paypal. (Don’t worry, you don’t need a Paypal account to shop with us!)
If you do have a Paypal account you can pay us from your account balance. Paypal eChecks are fine, but your order will not be shipped until the payment clears.
New Zealand customers are also able to pay by bank deposit. Just select the ‘bank deposit’ option in the shopping cart. We will contact you via email within 24 hours to give you our bank details, and your order total will be converted to NZ dollars using the current exchange rate.
Sorry, but we cannot accept foreign cash, cheques or money orders.

How do you ship, and what does it cost?
Shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart based on the weight of products you order, and your location. As a guide, the majority of our orders worldwide ship for $3.00 or less, though bulkier/heavier items and large orders will cost more. You can always see the shipping cost in the shopping cart before you enter any personal details.
We send out orders five days a week, using Standard Post within New Zealand (target delivery time of 1-3 working days), and Airmail to the rest of the world (target delivery time of 3-6 working days to Australia, 4-10 working days everywhere else).

Can I use your Sketchbook Sweeties or product pictures on my website/blog?
You are most welcome to post our illustrations or product pictures on your website/blog as long as:
- They are not altered in any way (except resizing, which is fine)
- They are clearly credited to Nut and Bee, and a link to www.nutandbee.com is provided
- They are not being used for commercial purposes
We love to see people writing about their favourite designs, or products they’ve ordered and enjoyed! If you’ve mentioned Nut and Bee on your website or blog let us know and we’ll add you to our links page.
You may also use an image or partial image from Nut and Bee as an avatar (e.g. in a forum, or as a LiveJournal userpic), as long as you provide a credit and link to us in your profile on that site.
For anything outside of that please contact me and we can talk about it!

Do you take on custom projects?
At this time we don’t take on much custom work, as it is usually very time-consuming and we prefer to work with our own ideas :) We will consider projects in the ‘Nut and Bee style’, but please don’t be offended if we can’t take on the work.
If you’d like to use one of our existing drawings for something (e.g. an invitation or tattoo) that is usually easier to accomodate. In either case, just get in touch with as many details as you can and we’ll see how it goes!

How do you draw the Sketchbook Sweeties?
For the first 250-odd Sketchbook Sweeties I sketched on paper with a mechanical pencil, inked over my sketch with black pens (Staedtler Pigment Liners or Artline Drawing System), scanned it, and added colour in Adobe Photoshop.
Now I have a Wacom Cintiq tablet! It is amazing! Sometimes I create a Sketchbook Sweetie entirely digitally, from sketching to finished product – however, I still doodle a lot on paper, so I will often scan a pencil sketch and ink/colour with the Cintiq. I use Corel Painter for inking and Adobe Photoshop for colouring.
